Recertification is required every 3 years from the date a CPCS becomes certified, in order to continue providing Clinical Supervision and using the CPCS credential.
Recertification Requirements:
STEP 1 - Required Training (Total of 12 CE Hours; 5 or 6 CE hours in Ethics, 5 or 6 CE hours is other Supervision Topics of your choosing, and 1 CE hour for passing the Exam = 12)
REQUIRED: Documentation and Ethics (5 or 6 CE Hours): This content area includes:

- Update on documentation including applications, session notes, evaluations, etc.

AUDITS: CPCS Program performs audits randomly to ensure certification holders are abiding by the rules stipulated for the CPCS program. |
ETHICAL COMPLIANCE
CPCS Certification Maintenance Fees support the administration of the certification program; which also includes monthly reports to the Licensing Board regarding compliance, answering and resolving supervision questions/issues, and audits. And most important, consultations.
FAILURE TO RECERTIFY: Failure to submit the signed recertification attestation, payment, and any requested continuing education documentation by the expiration date on your certificate will result in expiration of your credential.
