Certified Coercive Control Specialist (CCCS)
Recognize. Respond. Protect.
The Certified Coercive Control Specialist (CCCS) Training offers an in-depth look at the complex dynamics of coercive control—its devastating impact on victims and its critical relevance in both mental health and legal contexts.
Drawing on the foundational work of leading experts like Emma Katz and Evan Stark, this program is designed for behavioral health professionals, attorneys, and judges who want to better identify, understand, and address this often-overlooked form of domestic abuse.
What Is Coercive Control?
Coercive control is a pervasive form of abuse—often invisible, but deeply damaging. It’s more than physical violence; it's psychological, emotional, and financial manipulation—patterns of behavior that strip victims of freedom, safety, and dignity. Its effects on mental health and legal outcomes are profound yet frequently misunderstood.
Why This Certification Matters
The CCCS program fills a critical knowledge gap, equipping you with the skills to respond effectively and compassionately. By integrating psychological insight with legal strategies, you’ll be prepared to support survivors, advocate for systemic change, and help break the cycle of abuse.
