Certified Parent Educator Training
2-Days | 12 Hours

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Through a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum, participates will:

  • Identify concepts of comprehensive parent education
  • Develop techniques to enhance parent-child communication
  • Develop strategies to equip parents in managing child behaviors
  • Identify multicultural and diverse family needs
  • Analyze ethical and professional standards in all aspects of parent education


Target Audience:

Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Counselors, Case Managers, Peer Support Specialists


PREREQUISITES:

This certification program is open to individuals who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in a helping relationship field, such as psychology, counseling, social work, education, or related discipline.


Participants should have a basic understanding of child development, family dynamics, and ethical considerations in working with families. Experience in counseling, education, or a related field is beneficial, as the program builds on these foundational skills to enhance participants' ability to effectively support parents.

COURSE DELIVERY FORMAT: 

This live webinar presentation is interactive. Attendees & presenters may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor-led discussions.


Course Completion and CE Information:

To earn CE credit, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation. This is a 12 hour course. Partial credit is not permitted. Must be present the full 6 hours of both days to receive CE certificate. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 7-10 business days of course completion.
