LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Participates will:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Personal Injury Assessments: Accurately assess psychological and functional impacts of injuries using a variety of psychometric tools and evaluation techniques.
  • Address Multicultural Issues in Assessments: Identify and incorporate multicultural factors that may influence the assessment process, ensuring evaluations are culturally sensitive and fair.
  • Write Clear and Comprehensive Legal Reports: Develop and present clear, concise, and legally defensible reports that effectively communicate assessment findings to legal audiences.
  • Provide Effective Court Testimony: Prepare for and deliver credible testimony in court, addressing complex psychological concepts in a manner understandable to legal professionals and laypersons.
  • Apply Ethical and Professional Standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all aspects of personal injury assessment, report writing, and testimony.


PREREQUISITES:

This certification program is open to mental health professionals who have earned a master’s degree or higher in a helping relationship field, such as psychology, counseling, social work, or psychiatry. Trainees must have a solid foundation in psychological assessment and report writing, as well as experience in clinical practice. A strong understanding of ethical considerations in mental health practice is also essential.

This live webinar presentation is interactive. Attendees & presenters may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor-led discussions.


Course Completion and CE Information:

To earn CE credit, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation. This is a 12 hour course. Partial credit is not permitted. Must be present the full 6 hours of both days to receive CE certificate. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 5 business days of course completion.
