CPCS Recertification Application
Recertification is required every 3 years from the date a CPCS becomes certified in order to continue providing Clinical Supervision and using the CPCS credential. Once you have meet all certification requirements and passed the exam, you will need to complete the application process using the form below.
If your application is missing CE certificates, information, and or exam score, the system will not let a 'Reviewer' see the incomplete application. Application fees are non-refundable, so be sure your application is accurate prior to submission.

Complete the required fields, including uploading required proof of CEs.
Upon submission, you'll be granted access to the recertification exam.
When you've passed the exam, the CCALP will be automatically notified and your application will be reviewed.
If your application was successful, your recertification will be complete and a new certificate will be sent to you via email. If we are unable to approve your application, you will be notified.
Recertification FAQs
Do I need to Recertify my CPCS?
- Yes. The CPCS expires three years after it is issued.
I have to recertify, what does that mean?
- Training is required such as Advanced Supervision Coursework
- Upload CEs required
- List of your current supervisee(s), if applicable
- Exam score
- All fees, such as the maintenance fee, paid
- Late applications are subject to late fees.
When can I start the recertification process?
- You may recertify one year before your CPCS expiration date.
Where can I find the required trainings for Recertification?
- All Trainings must be LPCA approved Supervision CE Hours.
- If CE approval is by another organization, the provider will give you a copy the approval letter from LPCA.
- Trainings hours must be synchronous training; in-person or ‘live’ webinars.
- BEWARE of unrecognized providers. Be sure and check the list.
I presented at a workshop or taught a course on Supervision - Can I use any of these hours?
- Yes, this is considered Option B on the Recertification Application. You will need to upload a certificate for the workshop you presented and the course syllabus for the course you taught (3 CR Hour University supervision courses will apply as 6 CE hours). The Presentation must be completed within the last three (3) years.
