CPCS Ethics Complaint Process
The intent of the supervisor ethics complaint process is to provide a place to file a complaint on a CPCS Supervisor or Supervisee. Every effort is made to keep all information confidential.
The CPCS Committee has the ability to investigate ethical complaints made against CPCS professionals. The complaint process is governed by the CPCS Committee Procedures for Handling Ethical Matters. Currently we are only able to accept complaints in reference to CPCS Code of Ethics compliance.
The CPCS Committee has no authority to settle business practices/billing/fee disputes. Optionally, you may seek legal counsel or a remedy in the civil court arena for issues dealing with business practices/billing/fee disputes.
If you wish to file a complaint against a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), you may do so by completing a CPCS Ethics Complaint form, including all information required by the form, and submitting it to the CPCS Committee.

Initiating a Complaint with the CPCS Committee
Complaints of unethical conduct must be initiated by someone with personal knowledge of the alleged behavior or by someone in a position to supply relevant reliable testimony or other evidence on the subject. The CPCS Ethics Complaint form is a formal written communication from a complainant describing in detail the concerns regarding a CPCS certificant or candidate and is the only form of complaint submission accepted. Most of the complaints filed with CPCS Committee are filed by supervisees.
